Dried deer penis and geckos

All used for medicinal purposes apparently. Deer's willy and scrotum good for your 'yang'.

The meow people were into fermenting snakes to make a spirit.

Elephant soccer at the Kunming minority park

I don't find this sort of thing entertaining anymore. The poor elephants didn't look in great health. Not sure if getting old and/or not treated humanely. They were trained well but I didn't see much loving by the 'cowboys'. One of the ladies tried to wipe what looked like tears from its eyes.

Tea maker at Kunming minority park

The tea leaves are rolled into hard balls then soaked when used.
This one we tried was very fresh and aromatic. However it tasted and smelt a bit like marijuana leaves. All cool mon!!

Leaf blowing guitar man - Kunming minority park

This dude was a bit of a character.
His fellow peoples warming by the fire were making a food made out of milk. Tasted a bit like haloumi.

The shagging room - Kunming minority park

The room on the left in this house is used for newly weds to live in. Open fire for cooking on the right.

More Kunming minority park

The different ethnic groups all has their own styles and traditions. Some like to decorate their houses in flowers, or chillies, ferment snakes, ceremonial dresses. Each group can be identified by their different hats.

Kunming minority park

I took a photo of this girl at the entrance to the minority nations theme park, next to our accommodation. This act apparently committed us to paying for her to be our guide. We needed a guide though, it was a bit area covering the 20+ different peoples.

It wasn't all food in the Kunming Expo

There was a few Nepalese stalls, many jade and stone sellers (Amy said mostly fake). Amy's brother was interested in these traditional style tea pots for the new restaurant. Ended up buying quite a few.

The large tree stumps looked unusual.

Check out the dude in shop smoking on some sort of bong...

Like a kid in the lolly shop at Kunming Expo

Soooo delicious sweet dried fruits.
A bit like dried pineapple bits in Oz only not hard and so dry.
Some fruits I didn't know, others were different varieties of plums, kiwi fruit, Kumquat.
